     Keystone Chinese School (KSCS) is a non-profit organization run by parents and professional parent volunteers. KSCS dedicates to providing quality Chinese cultural and language education in an encouraging atmosphere for people of all ages to enjoy the diversified culture and to benefit of their competitions of globalization environments.

      KSCS designs General Classes, Intensive Classes, Accelerated Classes, and Adult Classes to meet the student needs of different ages, language backgrounds, races, and learning objectives. Our curriculum is aligned to US main stream school system by teaching Mandarin and han-yu pin-yin. Textbooks that are used in most public high schools and universities are adopted in our mid and high level classes.

      Both traditional and simplified Chinese character classes are available for parent's selection. Pin-yin is taught as a pronunciation tool and an approach to input Chinese characters on computer.

      There are about 30 school days in a school year. Classes start at 9:30 am and end at 12:00 pm on Saturdays. A school year is divided into fall and spring semesters. Fall semester is from September to December. It has 12 class days. The spring semester is from January to June, which has 18 class days.

      Each family is required to provide two mornings of volunteer service in fall semester and 3 mornings in spring semester since the school is administrated and operated by parent volunteers.

      Tuition is mainly the only financial resource. It is used for classroom rent, teacher compensation and training, and school routine operations. All administrators work for the school voluntarily. Only teachers are paid employees.  Financial report is published each school year.

      The school belongs to all KSCS families. Our mission is to promote cultural diversity awareness and appreciation, to preserve Chinese cultural and heritage, to contribute to and support our community by offering high quality instructions in Chinese language and culture.

    知用中文學校是由家長和熱心弘揚中華文化的人士義務興辦的非營利社區教育服務組織。以承傳民族文化、服務社區、促進多元文化環境為目標。

    我校實行因材施教。開設及計劃開設普通班、學科班、速成班、成人班，以滿足不同年齡、不同語言背景、不同族裔、不同學習目標的學生之需要。我校的教學設計跟美國主流學校接軌，教授國語（普通話）和漢語拼音。中、高年級和速成班使用美國中學和大學的通用課本。我校努力更新教學觀念，接受和實踐先進的新概念和新思路，力争在課堂中引入現代技術，跟上時代的進步。以生動活潑、學生喜見樂聞的方式進行教學，克服孩子不歡喜學中文的主客觀障礙。

    我校提供簡體字和傳統字（又稱正體字或繁體字）兩套課程，由家長或學習者選擇。以漢語拼音作為發音輔助工具及電腦中文輸入的手段。

    每學年約有三十個上課周，每周星期六上午上課。學年分為秋季學期和春季學期。秋季學期從九月至十二月，共十二周；春季學期從一月至六月，共十八周。上課時間是星期六上午九時三十分至中午十二時。

    學校要求每個學生家庭以主人翁的精神參予學校工作，提供義工服務。秋季學期不少於兩個上午，春季學期不少於三個上午。

    學校的財政來源是學費。全部收費用於教室租金、教師報酬和培訓、購買教學設備、及學校運作的教學和行政費用。以少花錢，多辦事為原則。辦學人員沒有金錢報酬，不謀取任何形式的個人利益。學校每學年向家長公布財務報告。

    知用中文學校是全體學生和家長的學校。其宗旨是要通過高質量的中文和中華文化教學，幫助華裔家庭承傳和復興自己傳統文化中的精華；幫助非華裔家庭通過中文學習了解中華文化；提高學生在全球一體化進程中的競爭力；促進社區的多元文化，相互了解與和諧
